WHO WE ARE?

SAMU First Response is an independent U.S. non-profit entity that provides humanitarian support and services to individuals and families in the US and receives support and assistance from, among others, Fundación SAMU, a Spanish non-profit foundation, and SAMU S.A., a Spanish corporation. SAMU First Response’s mission is to provide exemplary care to vulnerable populations during national crises, ensuring dignity, safety, and hope for those in need.

Our comprehensive support includes activities in the field of social action, leading to an expansion of services for vulnerable groups in sectors such as elderly care, child welfare, immigration, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health disorders.

We are also actively engaged in disaster relief and emergency response across the United States. Through our Relief and Support program, we provide shelter, food distribution, donation centers, and protection for communities impacted by climate-related and other disasters. Our approach encompasses preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.

In addition to our direct relief efforts, SAMU First Response extends its mission globally, deploying teams to crisis-affected regions to deliver life-saving humanitarian aid where it is most urgently needed.

Our specialized programs not only ensure that our teams are optimally prepared, but also provide training for personnel from local and national organizations across the U.S. This training covers a broad spectrum of emergency situations—ranging from natural disasters to public health emergencies and man-made crises—equipping participants with the skills to respond effectively and make informed, life-saving decisions in any emergency scenario.
