Sylvia Szankay

Sylvia Szankay has over 25 years of combined experience in international communication, international development, and access to information. She has managed complex projects for international organizations, consulting firms and non-profits organizations mainly in Latin America and the Caribbean for diverse donors such as IADB, USAID, FEMA, CAF and The World Bank. She is passionate about human rights, transparency, and linkages between access to information and social change.

Sylvia has a Master’s in International Communication with a focus in International Development from American University in Washington, D.C. She also has a Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of La Plata (Argentina) and Certifications in Conflict Resolution, Strategic Social Accountability, and Scientific Journalism.
