Maria Andrea Molina was born in the vibrant city of Maracaibo, Venezuela, where she spent her early childhood. At the age of 13, she moved to the United States with her family, seeking new opportunities and a better life.
From a young age, Maria was passionate about helping people and making a difference in their lives. This passion led her to pursue a career in the field of public health. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and went on to complete her Master’s in Public Health from Florida International University.
Maria’s professional journey has been one of great success and fulfillment. She has held various positions in the public health field, including working with local health departments and non-profit organizations, and has been actively involved in projects aimed at improving the health and well-being of communities.
Currently, Maria serves as the Data and Operations Coordinator at SAMU First Response. In her role, Maria is responsible for collecting and analyzing travel and intake-related data, supporting the Data Reporting Manager and the overall operation, providing administrative and financial-related reports, and contributing to project communications and social media efforts. She is also involved in organizing and coordinating travel data and reporting information, procuring transportation tickets, ensuring newcomers’ safety, providing orientation, and maintaining accurate records.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring new cultures through food. She is also an avid reader and enjoys staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of public health.
