Borja González de Escalada Álvarez Vice President of SAMU Foundation, with extensive leadership experience in the social and humanitarian sector. Specialized in directing humanitarian projects, crisis management, and developing international assistance programs.

Committed to social innovation and improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable communities.

Since 2008, he has directed humanitarian projects and international assistance programs, managed multidisciplinary teams and established global strategic alliances. ​ He served as C.E.O of SAMU Maroc in Tangier, Morocco (2016-2018), leading transnational implementation strategies. ​ He worked as a research economist at the World Bank (2006-2008) and the International Monetary Fund (2002-2006), developing macroeconomic policies and development strategies. ​ He was also a finance specialist at ESL Publishing in London (1999-2000). ​

He has participated in humanitarian missions in Morocco, Turkey, France, Nepal, and the Philippines, deploying rescue and medical teams. Academically, he holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the International Institute San Telmo (2013) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic and Business Sciences from Complutense University of Madrid (1999). ​
