Derick Alegria

Derick Alegria has been with SAMU First Response since the beginning of the operation in 2022 in Washington, D.C.  He has worked with vulnerable communities, focusing on the intake process of admissions and services while providing the necessary assistance for their transition into the United States. He has extensive experience in managing records and admissions for individuals during emergency situations and always goes the extra mile to make sure the process runs smoothly, and everyone is taken care of.

Derick has contributed both nationally and internationally to helping people in crisis situations as part of numerous emergency deployments. His expertise includes data processing, report preparation, and delivering presentations. He also maintains constant communication with various organizations to ensure that appropriate resources and services are provided to newcomers, facilitating their integration and support during their time in the country. He is a key individual that has been a part of the SAMU team from the very beginning and is an example of the hard work and dedication that our team strives to show everyday as we save lives.
