Erika is a strategic, results-driven, and innovative public affairs professional with more than 20 years experience leveraging leadership, partnership development, and fundraising strengths to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Her experience prior to joining SAMU First Response includes consulting for the World Bank in the Health, Nutrition and Population Global Practice and for Noblis in the Health Innovation Mission Area. Prior, Erika worked for over a decade in public affairs for the National Association of Home Builders and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.

A native Spanish speaker originally from Peru, Erika holds a B.A. in U.S. Government and International Relations from George Mason University.
